Fury review
My Rating: 8.6/10
IMDb Rating: 7.6/10 Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 77% Metacritics Rating: 64/100 My Favorite Quotes 1. "Best job I ever had." - The crew 2. "Ideals are peaceful. History is violent." - Wardaddy 3. Boyd 'Bible' Swan: Wait until you see it. Norman Ellison: See what? Boyd 'Bible' Swan: What a man can do to another man. That cast though So the story follows a group of soldiers who control a tank during WW2 and they fight deep in German lines. Without such a stellar group of actors this film would have been your average war movie. With all that potential and for the film to actually come through Is a gasp of fresh air. Usually these top billed cast films don't pull through. I must say their chemistry is unmatchable its so awesome to watch them feed off of each others acting. They make for a very believable scenario of a group of soldiers on the front lines. And the CGI is some of the best I have ever seen. This movie was much similar to Saving Private Ryan in the sense that there is a tight group of soldiers fighting in a ruthless war. Where no mercy is shown except in minor ways. I loved the entire movie except the ending. Another thing I heard in an interview with the cast is that off set they would have wrestling matches together to help build chemistry and create realistic scenes where thay are sweaty and aggressive towards one another. A much loved movie with a mediocre finish. |
