Unbroken Review
My Rating: 7/10
IMDb Rating: 7.2/10 Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 51% Metacritics Rating: 59/100 My Favorite Quotes: 1. "If I can take it I can make it." - Louise Zamparini Plot: A true story about a man by the name of Louis Zamperini who is an olympic athlete who fights in WW2 and is captured by the Japanese army and wforced to do inhumane things in an internment camp. The main antagonist, the Japanese man in the internment camp does a phenomenal job of acting. He actually strikes fear into the viewers eyes by just his stare. I cannot believe that the events in this film actually occurred. I mean I have learnt about conditions in prisoner of war camps, but not to this extent. A very educational piece of work. Although I do have to admit I watched the trailer almost 50 times waiting to be able to watch the full film. The trailer was absolutely amazing and every time I watch it, it gives me chills and a sense of motivation. Unfortunately the full movie didn't have nearly the same affect as the trailer. Despite that, It was a descent film, but all the things that made the trailer motivational were lost in the film. Sure it had the exact same scenes the trailer had, but they weren't put together the same. A good film. But not worth watching more than once. |
