The boy review
My Rating: 7.8/10
IMDb Rating: 6/10 Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 27% Metacritics Rating: 42/100 My Favorite Quotes: N/A ne of the better horror movies I have seen, without a doubt. This film offers solid acting, creepy atmosphere/setting, and Scary pop ups. Not to mention a somewhat unique plot. Maggie from the walking dead plays the babysitter and in my opinion does a very good job. Although the plot appears t be just a cliché demonic spirit possessing a house, it is actually far more clever and unexpected. I think that is its strong suit. As well as a large amount of jump scares that make for a truly frightening movie. By no means is this movie great, but it is most certainly good. Nothing stood out as being poorly done, so there is nothing I found to be a negative factor. All in all this movie was overall a solid horror flick. I am utterly in shock after seeing the blasphemous rating in which Rotten Tomatoes has laid upon this movie. It is disrespectful to give a horror movie that is actually good a bad rating, and than give atrocious films such as "Cabin in the Woods" high ratings. I just do not know what to say. |
