Memento review
My Rating: 10/10
IMDb Rating: 8.5/10 Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 92% Metacritics Rating: 80/100 My Favorite Quotes 1. "We all lie to ourselves to be happy" - Leonard Shelby 2. "Learning Through repetition" - Teddy 3. "The world doesn't just disappear when you close your eyes." - Leonard Shelby I love the way the film draws you in by presenting a foreshadowed scene. It fully keeps you guessing and wondering. At first you don't have a clue what he is doing than it presents itself. That he is on a vengeance spree to kill the man who killed his dearly beloved wife. I really enjoy the flashbacks and the flash forwards it really forced you to stay focused to fully understand what's happening. I also enjoy the first person narrative. The show also projects a very unique dialogue with how the main character has a short term memory loss disorder. He remembers everything prior to his accent, but after he can't remember anything so he is forced to write things down on his body or take photographs in order to remember. This film gets your thoughts soo jumbled up its ridiculous. It's almost like your the man with the short term memory loss. being able to see the lead up to the ending or should i say beginning it was phenomenal. What a great ending to a great movie. |
